Emilio Pericoli

Emilio Pericoli ( born January 7, 1928 in Cesenatico, † April 9, 2013 in Gambettola ) was an Italian singer.

Career

His career was closely linked with the Sanremo Festival. In 1961, Pericoli a cover of Al di là title winner Betty Curtis on. With him Pericoli conquered the international charts. In the U.S. Billboard charts, it peaked at # 6 in the UK it reached number 30

In 1962, Pericoli then for the first time even at the Sanremo Festival in part. Together with composer Tony Renis he sang the ballad Quando Quando Quando, which, although it missed the front seats, but later evolved into one of the most famous Italian pop.

A year later, Pericoli entered again in a duet with Renis in Sanremo and could with the song Uno per tutte Enter the list of winners. By winning the festival, he also qualified for the Euro Vision Song Contest 1963.
