Emily O'Reilly

Emily O'Reilly ( * 1957 in Tullamore, County Offaly ) is an Irish journalist and author. October 1, 2013, it is the Ombudsman ( officially: Ombudsman ) of the European Union and the first woman to hold this office.

Training

Emily O'Reilly attended the University College in Dublin and graduated in 1979 in European languages ​​and literature from. In 1980, she earned a degree in Education at Trinity College in Dublin. Later, she also visited nor the Harvard University.

Professional activity
