Emily Rosemond

Emily Rosemond ( born March 11, 1986 in Cairns, Queensland) is an Australian track cyclist and former short track speed skater.

At the age of 16 years, Emily Rosemond launched the first internationally for Australia as Shorttrackerin. In the season 2005/2006 she completed the short track speed skating World Cup and qualified for the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, but could not occupy the front seats there. Then she turned to the track cycling.

2008 Rosemond was together with Kerrie Meares Australian Champion in the team sprint, keirin in she finished second in the Sprint third parties. The following year, 2009, Emily Rosemond won the national title in the team sprint with Meares; in the Keirin, she was vice - champion in the 500m time trial third party.

Internationally, it was once again placed second with Kerrie Meares at the World Cup race 2008 in Melbourne; in the Track Cycling World Cup season 2009/2010 she reached the second place in the Keirin and together with Anna Meares in the team sprint two third places at the race in Cali.
