Emily van Egmond

Emily van Egmond ( born July 12, 1993 Newcastle) is an Australian football player. The midfielder played since September 2013 for the Western Sydney Wanderers in the W- League. She is the daughter of Australian football player and trainer Gary van Egmond.

Career

Association

From 2008 to 2011 van Egmond played for the W - League team Newcastle Jets and Canberra United, before they moved on to Danish club Fortuna Hjørring. However, early in the following year she returned to Newcastle. There she played until 2013, interrupted by a short engagement in summer 2012 at Western New York Flash in the WPSL elite. In July 2013 van Egmond moved to Seattle Reign FC in the NWSL. After the end of the NWSL season, she returned to Australia and joined the Western Sydney Wanderers.

National

2010 debuted van Egmond in the Australian national team and took part in the 2011 World Cup in Germany.
