EML Kalev ( M414 ) is a 1967 -built single minesweeper, which is now a museum ship in Tallinn.

History

The Kalev was made in 1967 under the name of Minerva as a coast guard boat Frauenlobstraße class for the German navy in service and assigned to the 7th Minesweeping Squadron. The boats of this class were reclassified shortly after her commissioning to internal minesweepers, and alternated several times their identifiers, which Minerva successively the hull numbers W 36, M 2676, Y were allocated in 1657 and finally M 2664. In 1995, the Minerva was decommissioned.

From 1997 to 2003 it was a warship of the Estonian Navy. Today Kalev is a museum ship to the Estonian Maritime Museum and is located in Tallinn's Seaplane Harbour.
