Emmanuel Carrère

Emmanuel Carrère ( born December 9, 1957 in Paris, France ) is a French author, screenwriter and film producer.

Life

Carrère is the son of Louis Carrère and French historian Hélène Carrère d' Encausse. His mother's cousin is the Franco- Georgian politician and former Foreign Minister of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili.

Carrère wrote a dozen books since the early 1980s, which have won awards in part. He was also a screenwriter and producer of a series of films for cinema and television. In 2010 he was a jury member in the selection of feature films at the film festival in Cannes.
