Emperors Yan and Huang

The Monument to Emperor Yan and Huang at the edge of China's provincial capital Zhengzhou has a height of about 106 meters, making it one of the largest sculptures ever. It towers above example, the Statue of Liberty around 13 meters. The double bust shows the heads of Yandi and Huangdi, two of the earliest emperors of China. The heads themselves are only roughly carved into the rock, which worked out fine faces. After about 20 years of construction, the monument was completed in 2007.
