Employment is the debut album by British indie rock band Kaiser Chiefs. The record was released on March 7, 2005 B- Unique ( Universal).
Formation
After the release of their first single, " Oh My God" by the label Drowned In Sound, which could also join in the charts, the Kaiser Chiefs were taken from label B -Unique under contract. There also the second single " I Predict a Riot ", which placed itself at number 22 on the charts appeared. Thus, the major label Universal was aware of the group and brought them with producer Stephen Street ( Blur, among others, The Cranberries ) together to record the first album of the band.
Reception
Plattentests.de recommended the album and wrote, Employment was " poppy and catchy ." The band " Operating the " be " in the best of the sixties, seventies, eighties, nineties and today," but the board was still enjoyable.
The Wiener Zeitung described the Kaiser Chiefs as a mixture of Franz Ferdinand and The Dogs In Hot Cars. The hype in the UK perfectly justifiable, but remains to be seen whether the group was granted a similar long-lasting success.
