Emporia State University
The Emporia State University is a state university in Emporia, Kansas. Currently, about 6,288 students are enrolled.
History
The college was founded in 1863 as Kansas State Normal. After two more name changes, it received its present name in 1977.
Sports
The sports teams of the Emporia State University are the Hornets. The university is a member of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association.
