Encruzado

The white grape Encruzado is an indigenous variety from Portugal and is the most widely planted white variety in the growing area Dão. Recommended is their cultivation in the regions of Beira Litoral and Beira Interior, so that the area under vines in Portugal about 208 hectare (1999 ).

This variety produces a fragrant, acid- stressed and full-bodied wine with moderate yield.
