Enrique Bernoldi

Enrique Antônio Langue de Silvério e Bernoldi (born 19 October 1978 Curitiba, Brazil) is a Brazilian automobile racing driver.

Career

Bernoldi began his motorsport career in karting. At the age of 17 years, the Brazilians tried on European Motorsport and drove in the Italian Formula Alfa Boxer, where he finished fourth in his debut race. Then Bernoldi moved to the British Formula Renault Championship. Bernoldi went further in Formula Renault and Formula 3000, where he reached the 18th place in 2000. For the 2001 Formula 1 season, he was obliged by Arrows. His debut in Formula 1, he announced on 4 March 2001 at the Grand Prix of Australia, in which he failed. Until the withdrawal of the team in mid-2002 he drove for Arrows in Formula 1, but could not achieve significant results.

2005 Bernoldi was one of the test drivers of BAR- Honda. In 2008 he competed in the American IndyCar Series for Conquest Racing moderately successful team. With two races left in the season he was replaced due to a hand injury and his services by the experienced Alex Tagliani.

In 2010 Bernoldi driving for Vitaphone Racing in the FIA ​​GT1 World Championship 2010. During the following season, 2011, he runs for Sumo Power GT.
