Eparchy of Lungro
The Eparchy Lungro (Italian Eparchia di Lungro degli Italo - Albanesi, latin Eparchia Lungrensis ) is an eparchy, that is, a diocese with Greek Rite, based in Lungro. It is one of two Italo- Albanian dioceses in Italy. The eparchy is part of the church Calabria region, but is not associated with ecclesiastical province, but immediat, ie directly subordinate to the Holy See.

- Two municipalities in the province of Potenza;
- A municipality in the province of Pescara;
- A municipality in the province of Lecce.
The farthest municipality is Rosciano.
History
Prior to the Italian Catholics of the Byzantine rite were subject to the jurisdiction of the Latin Church. Clement XII. entrusted by the Apostolic Constitution Superna dispositione from June 10, 1732 a specially appointed Titular Bishop with Ordinations.
Pope Benedict XV. founded with the Apostolic Constitution Catholici fideles on 13 February 1919, the Eparchy of annexations of the dioceses Cassano all'Jonio and San Marco e Bisignano and of the Archdiocese of Rossano. The Holy See erected the Eparchy Lungro the first Italian diocese of the Byzantine rite.
