Equestrian at the 2012 Summer Paralympics

In the Summer Paralympics in London in 2012 in a total of eleven decisions in dressage, the rider will be awarded with medals disability.

Grade

There are four degrees of the Disabled Horse riding:

  • I, for riders whose limbs are only limited functionality, or that have a limited ability to balance. In this class also riders who are good arm functions, but lack of body balance may start.
  • II, for riders with disabilities movement, but with some good arm functions.
  • III, for blind riders with limited mobility.
  • IV, for riders with visual impairments or limitations in one or two limbs.

Competitions and schedule

The competitions of the riders will be held from 30 August to 4 September 2012, which decisions will be held from September 1. The venue is the temporary equestrian stadium in Greenwich Park. Also where the Olympic equestrian competitions were held.

It take a total of 78 athletes at the Paralympic equestrian competitions, exclusively dressage competitions, in part. Team classification
