Geography

Geographical Location

Erdmannshausen between the Neckar and Murr, about 10 km east of the county town of Ludwigsburg, in the natural area Neckarbecken. An uninhabited enclave in the Hardt forest at Rielingshausen is the natural space allocated to the Swabian- Franconian Forest.

Neighboring communities

Only about one kilometer from the city Schiller is located in Marbach am Neckar. Other neighboring municipalities are Affalterbach, Kirchberg an der Murr and today Marbach district Rielingshausen and Steinheim an der Murr.

To Erdmannshausen include the village Erdmannshausen and the house Bugmühle and dialed Eglolfshofen towns, inner and outer Hoefle and Weikershausen.

History

Erdmannshausen was first mentioned in the year 816, when Louis the Pious gave the location of the monastery Murrhardt. Since the 14th century acquired by the Counts of Württemberg parts of the village until 1425 they owned the whole place. Since that time Erdmannshausen was administered by the Office Marbach, later Oberamt Marbach. By managing restructuring in 1938, the community came to the newly formed district of Ludwigsburg.

Religions

Since the Reformation Erdmannshausen is dominated Protestant. While there still are a Protestant church in the village, the church in Marbach am Neckar is responsible for the Roman Catholics. The United Methodist Church is active in the region as part of the existing since 1866 total district Marbach and maintains a community center in Church Street. Since 1932, the New Apostolic Church is represented in Erdmannshausen.

After the last municipal election held on 7 June 2009, the council has 14 members. The turnout was 58.97 %. The choice was as follows:

Coat of arms and flag

The coat of arms shows a golden plate under the main, is a black stag bar, a left introverted, thriving from the lower rim of golden Abtsstab in blue. The municipality flag is blue and yellow. Coat of arms and flag were presented to the community on October 18, 1954.

The Abtsstab stands for the monastery Murrhardt, which the village was under long. The deer rod symbolizes the future membership of Württemberg.

Economy and infrastructure

Erdmannshausen is a wine-growing village, whose documents are Großlage Schalk stone in the area Württembergisch lowlands in the Württemberg wine region.

Traffic

Erdmannshausen is served by the railway line Backnang -Ludwigsburg to the national rail network. With the opening of the extension of the S -Bahn line 4 between Marbach and Backnang on 8 December 2012, the community is connected also to the Stuttgart S- Bahn network.

In Erdmannshausen there are four kindergartens and primary school Astrid Lindgren School. All secondary schools are located in the neighboring village of Marbach am Neckar.

Supply and disposal

The electricity and gas network in the community is operated by the Syna GmbH, a subsidiary of Süwag Energie AG. The drinking water is obtained from the country's water supply. The purpose of association group Häldenmühle sewage treatment plant is responsible for wastewater treatment in Erdmannshausen and Marbach, Steinheim, Murr, Großbottwar and Benningen. The waste is taken from the Abfallverwertungsgesellschaft of the district Ludwigsburg mbH ( AVL), a 100 % subsidiary of the district Ludwigsburg. AVL is mandated to carry out the tasks for the prevention, recovery and disposal of waste on behalf of the district Ludwigsburg.
