Erich Dunskus

Erich Adolf Dunskus ( born July 27, 1890 in Pillkallen ( East Prussia ) (now Russia), † November 25, 1967 in Hagen ( Westphalia ) ) was a German actor.

Life

Erich Dunskus migrated to an apprenticeship as a pharmacy assistant early in 1914 to America, but returned at the outbreak of the First World War in 1914 in the homeland. As a result of his training, he came as a medic to the Western Front, where he served until the war ended.

After 1918, he took acting classes at the University of Rich 's dramatic Kunstund first played at the State Theatre in Eisenach. Later engagements followed at different stages and finally Gustaf at Berlin's Schiller Theater. Besides his work in the theater Erich Dunskus appeared in major and minor roles in almost all Ufa films, including Under the Bridges and night fell over Gotenhafen. Following his film and stage career Erich Dunskus lived in Berlin, but moved with his wife Elizabeth after the Wall was built by Lübeck and then to Hagen, where he died in 1967 and is buried.

He played a total in nearly 150 films and was about 3500 times on the Berlin stage. As a voice actor he has been involved in more than 600 film and television productions.
