Erick or Erick City is a city in Beckham County on Route 66 in Oklahoma. The state population is, according to United States Census Bureau, 1,023 people (as of 2000).
Erick is the hometown of two famous personalities, namely the two country singer Roger Miller and Sheb Wooley. Miller was not born there, but only grew since the age of three on there.
Geography
Erick is located south of Interstate 40, with which the town is connected by a shuttle. In addition, the Oklahoma State Route 30 runs through Erick.

History
Erick was founded in 1901 as a farmer and rancher community. The city was named after Beeks Erick and served mainly ranchers to transit, as Erick's water sources were perfect for the large herds of cattle. For a long time Erick Oklahoma's westernmost city.
