Erik Sviatchenko

Erik Sergeivich Sviatchenko (born 4 October 1991 in Viborg, Denmark ) is a Danish footballer of Ukrainian descent.

Family and Private

Erik Sviatchenko came as the son of a Danish mother and the Ukrainian Sergei Sviatchenko in Viborg born and grew up there as well.

Career

He began at Viborg FF, Søndermarken IK before he landed on Houlkær IF in the youth department of the FK Viborg. In January 2006 Sviatchenko moved to the youth department of FC Midtjylland. On 5 May 2009 he was in a game of SAS -Liga, the top division of Denmark, made ​​his professional debut when he came off the bench in the 3-2 victory against AC Horsens in the 90th minute for Winston Reid. He rose early 2010 into the professional team of Mitteljüten. With Midtjylland he reached the final of the Danish Cup, which they lost 0-2 after extra time against FC Nordsjælland in the same year.
