Erin Manning (theorist)

Erin Manning ( born 1 February 1969) is a Canadian cultural theorist, philosopher, and an artist in dance and design.

Manning's research includes the areas of art, political theory and philosophy. She received her doctorate in political philosophy at the University of Hawaii in 2000. She currently teaches in the Department of Art History at Concordia University.

Manning is founder and director of " SenseLab ". Together with other artists and theorists explore the interdisciplinary laboratory the relationship between artistic creation and theoretical research.
