The Barranquilla Airport (Spanish Aeropuerto Internacional Ernesto Cortissoz, IATA: BAQ, ICAO: SKBQ ) is an international airport in the municipality of Soledad, 7 km south of the Colombian city of Barranquilla, Atlántico. It was opened in 1979 and is the aviation hub of the Colombian airline Aires. It consists of an international and a national terminal as well as a start and runway concrete.
The airport is designed among other things, the type Boeing 747, Boeing 767 and Airbus A340 and is mainly used for domestic U.S. flights.
