Ernst Bolldén

Ernst Bolldén ( born September 28, 1966; † 30 April 2012) was a Swedish table tennis player.

Career

Due to an accident with a school 13 years Bolldén was paralyzed from the waist since 1979 and was in a wheelchair. At the Paralympic Games 1996 in Atlanta, he won team gold and bronze in singles. In Sydney in 2000 he won the bronze medal in the single turn. From 1986 Bolldén participated in all World Championships, won in 1990 and 2006, the individual titles and a total of six silver and three bronze medals. Less than a year after he was diagnosed with bladder cancer, Serious Bolldén died at the age of 45 years.
