Ernst Rufli

Ernst Rufli (* April 12, 1910, † unknown) was a Swiss rower in one.

Rufli rowed for the Rowing Club Zurich, its duration rivalry with Eugen Studach from Grasshopper Club Zurich coined the Swiss One - rowing of the 1930s. Rufli was 1935, the first Swiss rower who won the Diamond Sculls, the one's race at the Henley Royal Regatta. In 1936, he was able to repeat this success. At the Olympic Games in Berlin in 1936 Rufli reached the final, but remained in fifth without a medal. 1938 in the last European Championships before the Second World War, won the bronze medal Rufli behind Vienna Josef Hasenohrl and Poland Roger Verey.
