Ernst von Mohl

Ernst Friedrich von Mohl ( born July 20, 1849 in Neuweiler, † January 8, 1929 in Munich) was a German classical scholar and professor.

Mohl was the son of a Protestant minister and grew up in Hildrizhausen. In 1868, he put in Stuttgart from the High School and took the winter semester 1869/70 the study of philosophy at the University of Tübingen. Here he became a member of the fraternity Landsmannschaft Scotland. Later he continued his studies at the University of Dorpat. After working as a professor at the law school in St. Petersburg from 1889-1911 he lived in Munich. He authored numerous Swabian, Baltic and Russian narratives. Ernst von Mohl the life companion of the writer Isolde was short, the biography dedicated to him a genius of love.
