Errol Morris

Errol Morris ( born February 5, 1948 in Hewlett, New York, USA) is an American film director and documentary filmmaker. Errol Morris ' biggest success was The Fog of War, for in addition to numerous other awards, he received the Oscar for Best Documentary in 2003. For a brief history of time he won the 1992 Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival.

As a friend and supporter of Morris ' applies the German director Werner Herzog. This bet once, Morris would never make it to realize his first documentary gates of heaven and offered as a bet to eat his shoe. About the redemption of the bet was made with Werner Herzog Eats His Shoe is a short film.

In 1989 he was MacArthur Fellow.
