Erwin Komenda

Erwin Komenda ( born April 6, 1904 in Weyer on the Enns River, Austria, † August 22, 1966 ) was an Austrian automobile designer.

He led from 1931 to 1966, the Porsche car body construction department. 1955 appointed him Ferry Porsche to Senior Engineer.

Komenda drew the body plans for car models such as the VW Beetle, swimming and jeep, Cisitalia racing car, the Porsche 356 and Porsche 550 " Spyder ". He was buried in the family grave in the Komendas Weyer on the Enns River.
