Escape Artists (Austrian band)

Escape Artists is an Austrian pop punk band from Vienna. The band was founded in 2009 and is available at Time zone under contract.

History

Escape Artists was founded in 2009 by the two guitarists Georg Glasl and Matthias Fellinger, which together already played in the punk band substitutes, in Vienna. Then found George's sister Pia Glasl as a singer, Luke Jelencsits as a drummer and Benjamin Cox on bass to the band. The latter was replaced in 2012 by Mario Chytil. The band name was born from the passion of the founding members for the song " Escape Artists Never Die " by Funeral for a Friend. 2009 brought the band their first demo called 100 beats per minute out. The song contained on Nightmare also appeared on the compilation Punk Kills Vol 10, 2013. 2013 was followed by the debut album Tales in Tune, which was released on Time Zone.

Style

Escape Artists are often attributed to the pop-punk. Minted is the music of the voice of front woman Pia Glasl. Characteristic of the band are also the Scream parts of the two guitarists. In their texts, especially injustices, as well as the previous impressions of life be processed.
