La Esmeralda is a French short film from 1905. Was directed by Alice Guy- Victorin -Hippolyte Blaché and Jasset. This film is the first film adaptation of the bell-ringer of Notre Dame. The film is considered lost. However, there are some stills of the film can be seen on those as Quasimodo is held by some guards and Esmeralda flirts with a man on a horse.
