Esperke is a north-eastern district of the city of Neustadt am Ruebenberge in the Region of Hannover in Lower Saxony. The village lies east of the line and is crossed by the L193.

History

The first mention is esperch occupied under the name for the year 1268. With the territorial reform the church Esperke lost on March 1, 1974 their political independence and became a district of Neustadt am Ruebenberge.

Policy

Local mayor is Ute Bertram - Kühn ( SPD). Members of Ortsrates from Esperke are Peter Krüger, Jens Metterhausen ( both CDU ) and Hans -Heinrich Thies (SPD ) local steward for Esperke is Otto Brackhan.

The districts Esperke / Warmeloh, Helstorf, Luttmersen and Vesbeck have a common Ortsrat.

On a green coat of arms is a golden sailing ship.

Culture and sights

  • The small Gothic chapel.
  • The nature reserve " Bare Flat" in Esperke / Warmeloh is a mire with otherwise rarely occurring animal and plant world.
