EÅŸref Apak

Esref Apak ( born January 3, 1982 in Kalecik, Ankara Province) is a Turkish hammer thrower.

The Junior World Champion from 2000 won at the 2004 Olympic Games later the bronze medal after the first-placed Adrián Annus was (HUN ) refuses and disqualified in the days after the competition doping control. 56 years after the third course of the three- Springer Ruhi Sarıalp Apak was only the second Turkish track and field athlete who won an Olympic medal.

Apak On 4 June 2005 in Istanbul the Turkish current record of 81.45 meters on, but failed shortly afterwards at the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki in qualifying. In the Universiade 2005 he won silver.

At the World Championships in Osaka in 2007, he finished in eleventh place. In 2008 he took part in the Olympic Games in Beijing.
