Étienne Pavillon
Étienne Pavillon (* 1632 in Paris, † January 10, 1705 ) was a French jurist and writer.
Life
Pavilion was a nephew of the Bishop of Alet Nicolas Pavillon. He studied theology and later moved to the Law After successful completion of his studies was the pavilion as a prosecutor in Metz, works in the department of Moselle.
1691 appointed him to the French Academy as successor to the deceased writer Isaac de Benserade ( armchair 7); himself followed in 1705 by the Bishop of Avranches, Fabio Brulat de Sillery, on this place after.
1701 pavilion was a member of the Académie des Inscriptions et Belles Lettres.
Voltaire called Étienne Pavillon as ... doux maix faiblement pavilion.
