Coleonyx variegatus

Lidgeckos ( Eublepharidae ) (Size: eublepharos = with beautiful eyelids ) are ground-dwelling gecko -like, the disjoint in the tropics and subtropics live. The genus Coleonyx lives in the southwestern United States, Mexico and Central America, Hemitheconyx in West Africa, Holodactylus in northeastern Africa, three other genera in Asia.

In contrast to the geckos they have normal eyelids, on closing the eyes, however, the lower lid moves up.
