Eugène Burnand

Eugène Burnand ( born August 30, 1850 in Moudon, † February 4, 1921 in Paris) was a Swiss painter.

Burnand studied architecture in Zurich 1868-1871, then painting in Geneva and Paris. 1876-1877 he studied in Rome. From it a representation of the Sermon on the Mount comes to the chancel windows of the Reformed Church of Herzogenbuchsee. Between 1907 and 1912 several of his drawings were used for the banknotes of the Swiss National Bank.
