Eurasian Bank

The Eurasian Bank (Russian Евразийский банк ) is a Kazakh bank based in Almaty and one of the largest banks in Kazakhstan.

Corporate Structure

The Eurasian Bank is a wholly owned subsidiary of Eurasian Financial Company. In addition, among the Bank and the Eurasia Insurance Company, the Eurasian Capital Brokerage Company and the Eurasian Savings Pension Fund.

History

The Eurasian Bank was founded on December 26, 1994 as a public limited company. The following year, the first shares of the new financial institution in the amount of 95.6 million tenge were issued. Finally, the Bank received a state license for the trading of securities and government securities.

Since 1997, the Eurasian Bank Member of the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication and three years later a member of VISA International Service Association.

The share capital of the Bank was increased in 2008 to 12 billion tenge. It was also the Diamond Card, a collaboration with VISA, introduced. In 2009 the company was restructured and Michael Eggleton appointed Chief Executive Vorsitzendern.
