European Archives of Psychiatry and Clinical Neuroscience

European Archives of Psychiatry and Clinical Neuroscience is a psychiatric and neurological journal of Springer-Verlag.

1868, Wilhelm Griesinger the Archives of Psychiatry and nervous diseases as competition for the of "institution psychiatrists " led General Journal of Psychiatry. The magazine should promote emanating from the University of psychiatry modern psychiatry. Although Griesinger died in 1868, it became one of the major psychiatric journals. From 1869 Bernard of Gudden was with Carl Friedrich Otto Westphal publisher.

From Volume 68 ( 1921) to 178 (1944 ) the book was published in the meantime as a journal for the entire neurology and psychiatry. From Volume 234 (1984) to 239 (1989) it was called European Archives of Psychiatry and Neurological Sciences.
