European Association of Political Consultants

The European Association of Political Consultants ( EAPC ) is the advocacy of political consultants from Europe.

Founded in 1996 in Vienna. Its activities include the holding of annual conferences and the EAPC Master Class and issuing publications. The organization serves as a platform for the exchange of ideas between policy advisors and the strengthening of democratic structures in Europe has set itself the goal. The EAPC is in close contact with similar organizations, in particular the IAPC (International Association of Political Consultants). The current acting president is Gerlinde Manz-Christ of Liechtenstein, as Vice President Necati Özkan act from Turkey and January Juul Christensen from Denmark. The publicly accessible Roster counts 55 political consultants from 18 European countries to the members, Austria is the most highly represented with 11 members.

From 2003 to 2005, the organization was a year the band "Election Time - The European Yearbook of Political Campaigning " out, were described in the Wahlkapagnen and their impact in Europe. The results of the 15th EAPC Conference in 2010 in Vienna are summarized in a book on the topic "Emotions in Politics and Campaigning ".

Once a year, the EAPC held a members meeting in their panels and speeches of experience under the policy advisors of different countries at the center, the next time in Vienna in early May 2010. Conferences of recent years found approximately in Zurich (2009 ), Copenhagen ( 2008), Vilnius (2006 ), Innsbruck (2002 ) and Moscow ( 2000) instead.
