European Association of Social Anthropologists

The European Association of Social Anthropologists ( EASA) is an academic society for the promotion of social anthropology in Europe.

History

The EASA was founded on 14 January 1989 at the Italian Castel Gandolfo of twenty-one founding members from thirteen European countries, as well as financial support from the Wenner-Gren Foundation for Anthropological Research.
