The European Institute · European Institute (IE · EI) is a private, international institution, the research in the field of European and international studies and offers postgraduate courses.

History

It was founded in 1964 by the Centre International de Formation Européenne ( CIFE ) and is supported by the European Union.

Study

The Institute cooperates with numerous universities in Central and Eastern Europe, especially in Germany, Italy and Turkey. The programs offered are held in different countries and focus on European and international studies.

The study is characterized by an international faculty consisting of professors teaching internationally, experts and a multinational group of students with different academic careers, from.

The Institute offers the Master of European and International Studies in two different branches, the trilingual branch and the English-language branch. The training lasts for one year, and the degree is awarded after successful completion of written and oral examination and the writing of a thesis. Students acquire this 60 ECTS credit points.

Trilingual branch

The trilingual branch includes study visits to Nice and Berlin, interrupted by a week's stay at the partner university in Rostock and a two week stay at the partner university in Rome. An additional part of the program consists of a study trip to European and international organizations in Brussels, Strasbourg and Geneva. This master program is probably the only pan-European scientific course of study, the three languages ​​( German, English, French) is taught.

Interested students should note in the clear, that this is a French Institution, to be held in which only certain points in the Framework Programme in the foreign languages ​​German and English. The officially proclaimed three languages ​​is indeed given, as a part of the lectures in English, or German takes place. But the language of instruction of most events in Nice is French.

English speaking branch

The English branch includes study visits to Istanbul, Nice and Berlin and a study trip to European and international organizations in Brussels, Strasbourg and Geneva.
