European Kendo Federation

The European Kendo Federation ( EKF, Eng. European Kendo Federation) is the umbrella organization for the Japanese Budo disciplines kendo, Iaidō and Jodo in Europe.

It has about forty Member States, including non-European countries belong. Since 1974, the EKF each year in which no kendo world championship will be held ( every three years) organized the kendo championship. 2008, 22 European Championships in Helsinki, 2010, 23 European Championships in Debrecen and 2011, the 24th European Championships in Gdynia was organized. For 2013, the German Kendo Federation has awarded the contract for the alignment in Berlin.

In addition, organized by the EKF dan grades and courses. President is the Belgian Alain Ducarme. The EKF is a member of the International Kendo Federation.
