European Mathematical Society

The European Mathematical Society (EMS - European Mathematical Society ) is a scientific society to promote the development of all aspects of mathematics in the countries of Europe. It was founded in 1990 in Madralin near Warsaw ( Poland). Members of society are about 50 Mathematical companies in Europe such as the German Mathematical Society, the Austrian Mathematical Society, the Swiss Mathematical Society and the Polish Mathematical Society and about 2000 individuals in 2005.

It organizes every four years, the European Congress of Mathematicians, on the EMS prices and the Felix Klein Prize of the EMS will be awarded.
