European Monetary Agreement

The European Monetary Agreement was in Paris by some European OECD countries agreed on August 5, 1955 agreement, the 1959, the European Payments Union replaced and had to 1971 inventory.

It laid down, inter alia, the fluctuation of the currencies of the signatory countries to the U.S. dollar of ± 0.75 percent. The range of currencies to each other thus was ± 1.5 percent.
