The European Route 29 ( shortcut: E 29 ) is a 283 km long European route that begins south of Cologne and through the Eifel on Luxembourg to the French border south of Saarbrücken.

Course

The E 29 starts at the motorway junction Bliesheim far from Weilerswist and follows the Federal Highway 1 past Euskirchen approximately 38 km in a southerly direction until the provisional end of the motorway at Blankenheim / Tondorf. From there it runs south-west on the highway 51 and happened Blankenheim, Dahlem, Stadtkyll and Prüm and, after 45 km at junction Prüm on the A 60, which to the junction Bitburg, follows 20 km to the south. From there it runs again for nine kilometers on the B 51 to B 257, which up to the border crossing Echternacherbrück it follows 19 km. In Luxembourg it meets the N 11, on the driveway to the Waldhaff it runs 28 km and flows into the under construction A 7, which it follows almost two kilometers to the south. From the triangle Kirchberg it follows south-east of Luxembourg (city) ten kilometers of the A 1 and meets in the south on the cross Gasperich on the A 3 After nine kilometers she meets on the cross Bettemburg on the A13, on which it along for 22 km the French border extends to the border crossing Schengen / Perl, where it merges back on German soil in the A 8. Of the total 284 km of the route of the E 29 run 170 km on highways (of which 43 km in Luxembourg ), 85 km on German roads and 28 km to the Luxembourg national roads.
