The European Route 86 (abbreviated: E 86 ) is a running from west to east European route and runs from Tirana in Albania Elbasan Librazhd, Pogradec, Korce and Krystallopigi in Greece over Florina, Vivie or Meliti, Edessa, Skydra, Giannitsa and Chalkidona after Gefyra in Greece, where it merges with the European route 75 and European Route 90. To the east of Florina e is crossed by the 86 European route 65. The European route is approximately 470 km long.

The European route crosses the Albanian Tirana County, Elbasan, Korca and crosses Greek Macedonia (West and Central Macedonia ). The course is broadly the National Road 3 in Albania and largely national road 2 and 3 of the National Road in Greece. The construction standard does not meet all the requirements of the EGR (European Agreement on Main International Traffic Arteries nation ), the legal basis of the European road network.
