European Universities Badminton Championships

The European University Championships in badminton or the European Universities Games ( EUG) are the continental championships of the students in this sport. The championships in badminton ( European Universities Badminton Championship ) held annually since 2004. From 2012 they are aligned alternately with the two -yearly European Universities Games. The sports program of the EUG includes as core sports basketball, football, futsal, handball, volleyball, badminton, tennis and table tennis, as well as two other sports that are determined from the following four sports from host: beach volleyball, golf, rowing, rugby 7's.

It is organized by the European University Sports Association ( EUSA ), based in Ljubljana ( Slovenia). Overall, founded in Vienna in 1999 EUSA has 45 university sports associations as members and helps the European Championships in 17 sports from (as of 2012). Germany is by the German University Sports Federation ( ADH) a member of the EUSA.

In badminton European University Championships in the five individual disciplines ( men's, women's singles, men's, women's doubles, mixed ) and in the team competition ( in the Sudirman Cup mode) discharged.

In contrast to the World University Championships must each come from a university in the European Championships, the qualifying teams and doubles. By 2006, the notifying University Sports Association had the opportunity to take a Uniauswahl to provide a student team.
