EV3 The Pilgrims Route

The pilgrimage route ( Euro Velo Route EV3 ) performs over 5,100 kilometer than Radfernweg of Trondheim in Norway to Santiago de Compostela in Spain.

Route

Norway

In Norway, there is an extensive network of bike which is signposted with the local route. From Trondheim to Moss is the way as Pilegrimsruta (No. 7), signposted from Moss to the border as Kystruta ( No. 1). From Moss, he runs the same route as the North Sea Cycle Route.

The EV3 starts in Trondheim, through Lillehammer and Oslo to Moss and on about Fredrikstad and Sarpsborg for the Norwegian-Swedish border at Halden.

Sweden

In Sweden, the bike path on the Cykelspåret på Västkusten runs the same route as the North Sea Cycle Route. The Swedish section runs along the North Sea coast over Strömstad, Lysekil and Stenungsund up to Gothenburg.

Denmark

Germany

In Germany the way the D-net route D7 corresponds pilgrimage route.

From Flensburg D7 leads to the Ochsenweg over Schleswig, Rendsburg, Hohenwestedt, Itzehoe and Elmshorn to Hamburg. Continue through Zeven, Bremen, wages, Osnabrück, Münster, holders, Dorsten, Wesel, Rheinberg, Duisburg, Dusseldorf, Cologne, Bonn, the Rhine river, Euskirchen to Aachen.

Belgium

In the Belgian section of the route is not yet fully understood. The biggest part is to run on the existing network Ravel. There are Liège, Huy, Andenne, Namur, Sambreville, Charleroi, Thuin and Erquelinnes happens.

France

In the French section of the route is not yet clear, for some sections in France route alternatives are discussed.

From the Belgian border at Jeumont the route runs over Maubeuge, in the near Trélon, after Tergnier, Chauny, Noyon, Compiegne, Senlis and Paris. Next on Melun, Nemours, Montargis to Orleans. These sections are to be completed only predominantly 2014-2020.

From Orléans to Tours route along the Loire runs the same route as the river route ( EV6 ). This part is already completed.

From Tours to the south are still several alternatives in discussion. It is possible to route over Sainte -Maure -de -Touraine, Le Blanc, Montmorillon, Confolens, Montbron, Angoulême, Châteauneuf -sur- Charente, Barbezieux -Saint -Hilaire, Libourne. An alternate entry Bordeaux is provided, as well as a right after Bazas. About Mont -de- Marsan on to Dax and Saint -Jean -Pied -de-Port. Also in this southern part of the route sections are not completed to the good part.

Spain

In the French resort Arnéguy the Spanish part of the bike path begins. About Arce and Urroz villa in some miles distance south-east to Pamplona around west across Olkotz to Estella. Further to the southwest over Los Arcos, Logroño, west to Cenicero, Najera, Santo Domingo de la Calzada, Belorado, Monastery of San Juan de Ortega to Burgos. Further west on Osorno, Carrión de los Condes, Sahagún, El Burgo, León, Astorga, Ponferrada, Villafranca del Bierzo, Pedrafita del Cebreiro, Sarria, Portomarín, Palas de Rei, Arzúa to Santiago de Compostela.

The cycle thus always runs close to the pilgrimage route Camino Francés.
