Eva Golinger

Eva Golinger (* 1973 in New York) is an American lawyer and author of Venezuelan descent.

Golinger grew up in the United States and received his doctorate in law at the City University of New York and the University of New Mexico. It maintains an offshoot of Calderon firm in New York, deals with human rights issues as well as the immigration of artists. She was involved in the selection of judges for the International Criminal Court to the UN in The Hague since 1997 and lives temporarily in Caracas. She is a member of the Provisional Committee of the International Organization for Participatory Society.

Golinger is declared supporter of Hugo Chavez and his Bolivarian revolution. The New York Times says it is " a soldier of the Revolution." Golinger Correo del Orinoco writes for the, one financed by the Venezuelan government newspaper, which is reminiscent of the same title published by a newspaper Simón Bolívar. According to New York Times profile this newspaper is comparable to the Cuban Party newspaper Granma.

After the coup against Hugo Chavez in 2002, she worked with the U.S. policy towards Venezuela and used the Freedom of Information Act, to publish documents about it. Accordingly received anti-Chavez groups in Venezuela from 2001 $ 50 million American tax dollars via NED, USAID and other ways.

Golinger has institutions and organizations from the USA, Germany, Spain and Canada accused of massively interfered in the election campaign for regional elections in 2008 in Venezuela.
