Eva Marie Saint
Eva Marie Saint ( born July 4, 1924 in Newark, New Jersey ) is an American actress and Academy Award winner.
Life
Saint began at a young age (1946 ) with commercials on television and smaller television roles. Later, she became one of the great stars of American film scene. Saint preferred ambiguous and enigmatic roles. Already for her first feature film On the Waterfront by Elia Kazan in 1955 she received for her portrayal of the lover of Marlon Brando an Oscar for best supporting actor. Among her greatest roles include Eve Kendall in North by Northwest, Kitty Fremont in Exodus, as well as Martha Kent in Superman Returns.
Even in the 21st century Saint is still working as an actress. The German director Wim Wenders cast her in his 2005 film Do not Come Knocking, 2006, she appeared in Superman Returns. On the Hollywood Walk of Fame has two stars.
Eva Marie Saint is married to Jeffrey Hayden since 1951. She has two children and three grandchildren.
