Eva Schloss

Eva Schloss ( born Eva Geiringer, born May 11, 1929 in Vienna) is Anne Frank's stepsister and survivors of the Holocaust.

Life

Shortly after the annexation of Austria to Germany in 1938, the family emigrated to Belgium and finally in the Netherlands. In May 1944, the Jewish family was betrayed, captured in the wake of the Nazis and taken to the concentration camp Auschwitz- Birkenau. Eva Schloss ' father and brother did not survive the ordeal, her mother and herself were liberated in 1945 by Russian troops. Then both returned back to the Netherlands after Amsterdam back to where Eva continued her schooling and then studied art history at the University of Amsterdam. Her mother married Otto Frank, father of Anne Frank.

Eva Schloss reported in educational institutions about their experiences during the Holocaust. For their efforts, the Northumbria University Eva Schloss 2001 was marked with an honorary doctorate. Eva Schloss was a co-founder of the Anne Frank Trust UK.

Her book Eve 's Story was published in 2005 in German under the title story of Eve. James Still described her experiences as a young Jewish woman pursued in the play And Then They Came for Me - Remembering the World of Anne Frank.

Eva Schloss has three daughters and lives with her husband Zvi in London.
