Evan and Jaron was an American folk-rock duo.

Biography

The mid-1990s joined the two identical twins Evan and Jaron Lowenstein from Tucker Georgia as a duo together. With folk-pop songs in the style of Simon & Garfunkel they occurred in or around Atlanta, and made with the indie album Live at Kalo 's Coffee House in 1995 for the first time attracted attention. Two years later, they got a recording contract with Iceland Records and released their major label debut, We've Never Heard of You Either.

It remained, however, unsuccessful and so he moved to Columbia. In 2000 they had their greatest success there. With the album Evan and Jaron they made ​​it into the Billboard 200, but especially with the song Crazy for This Girl they reached the most attention and came to number 15 of the singles chart. From My Head to My Heart was still a minor hit in the mainstream charts.

What is unusual about the duo was that the two brothers are Orthodox Jews and therefore the weekend completed no gigs what you career development difficult. Their third album, Half Dozen also appeared in 2004 and was unable to repeat the success. It was their last release and the two brothers withdrew into private life.

Jaron Lowenstein returned in 2009 under the name Jaron and the Long Road to Love solo as Country musicians back.
