Evans Blue

Evans Blue is a Canadian rock band from Ontario.

Band History

Evans Blue was born in early 2005. The five musicians met each other via a message exchange, which they shortly thereafter also found a producer for their first album. The work on her debut album, which was recorded at The Pocket Studios in Toronto, was completed in November 2005. In February 2006, " The Melody and the Energetic Nature of Volume" on Hollywood Records, a label of the Disney Music Group released.

In March 2006, the band went together with Taproot on their first U.S. tour. Since then they have performed concerts with Staind, Alice in Chains, Three Days Grace, Flyleaf and Breaking Benjamin. Also in March 2006, drummer Darryl Brown left the band and was replaced by Danny D from Boston.

After seven months on tour they began work on a new album. Danny D also left the band. In its place, Davis H took over the drums. In March 2007, Evans Blue was nominated for a Juno Award in the category " New Group Of The Year ". A few weeks later, on 21 May 2007, the single " The Pursuit", which was coupled out in advance from the new album "The Pursuit Begins When This Portrayal of Life Ends " was released. The release of the album was on 24 July 2007.

On July 28, 2008 Kevin Matisyn was thrown by a vote of the band. Due to musical differences, but especially for bad decisions for the band, which would have taken Kevin to Evans Blue had to part with him, so Parker Lauzon. Kevin Matisyn contradicts this assertion in his blog. He was succeeded in February 2009 Dan Chandler. Kevin Matisyn is now lead singer of the band Parabelle.
