Evelyn Lincoln

Evelyn Lincoln Maurine (nee Norton; born June 25, 1909 in Polk County, Nebraska, † 11 May 1995 in Washington, DC) was an American employees in the White House, personal secretary of John F. Kennedy and nonfiction author.

Life

Evelyn Lincoln was the daughter of politician John N. Norton. She was from 1953 to 1963, of his election to the Senate of the United States until his murder ( assassination of John F. Kennedy), the personal secretary of the former President of the United States, John F. Kennedy. Evelyn Lincoln was part of acclaimed coverage because they took on numerous documents and legacies of John F. Kennedy to be sold and after his assassination and because of statements in an article published by her book. In her book, published in 1968 Kennedy and Johnson claiming that President Kennedy had told her three days before the assassination that he wanted to replace his then Vice - President Lyndon B. Johnson. Because of this, after the death of Kennedy became his successor in the office of the President and give it a different way then, about their own choice, was not credited, this statement was some conspiracy theorists as proof of the so-called LBJ conspiracy theory.
