Everton de Viña del Mar

Corporacion Deportiva Everton de Viña del Mar is a Chilean football club based in Viña del Mar which was launched in 1909 by English immigrants. Everton won four times so far, the Chilean championship and once to the national cup competition. Everton's archrival is the CD Santiago Morning from which only about 10 kilometers away Valparaíso.

The stadium of the club is the Estadio Sausalito, which was opened in 1929 and now holds around 18,000 spectators. It has been to Sausalito, the U.S. partner city of Viña del Mars, named.

History

On 24 June 1909, founded the house of David Foxley in Cerro Alegre de Valparaíso by British students a football club, which was named in memory of his previous performances in Argentina after the English Everton FC, as a theory. 1912, the club took first in the championship of the Liga de Valparaíso ' part.

Guillermo Clavero 1945 was the first player Everton on a South American championship.
